I’m a native Manhattan-ite who ventured out of the five boroughs of New York City to sample life in over seas. Besides losing many belongings along the way, I left my heart in Buenos Aires after living and doing research there for a year; I’m currently in the midst of a love-hate relationship with Shanghai. So far, tie-score.

I currently am a “podcaster” and work with an internet start up in Shanghai that is trying to fuse podcasting , education and new mobile communication technologies. Between wanderings and podcasting, I’m also a freelance writer… as is everyone.

Having graduated with a degree in International Relation and Development Economics, I see Shanghai as not only a great base to travel Asia from, but also to examine from the academic perspective I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to shake off. If nothing else, I hope my posts will help people understand the sociopath that is the Whore or the Orient – and wherever else I might hope to travel.
